I'm writing to thank Governor Crist for his leadership in charting a way forward for state universities and to ask for your support for the Governor's education reforms. In these extremely tough economic times it is imperative that we support our state universities. One way is to provide universities and the Board of Governors the flexibility outlined in the Governor's reform package.

The Governor's plan will ensure continued access to our universities at a still affordable price. It will help ensure that we retain our best faculty, are able to offer the courses students need to graduate and remain competitive with institutions across the country.
